The West Avenue Neighborhood Association (WAvNA) is comprised of representatives of condominiums, businesses, and individuals residing in the West Avenue corridor. WAvNA holds monthly meetings where elected representatives, public officials and community leaders address issues of interest.

The goal of the Association is to: improve pedestrian & bike safety, reduce litter & crime, and encourage responsible development.  WAvNA continues to facilitate an open communication with city hall to address our concerns, especially quality-of-life issues. For more information contact

The Association President is Gayle Durham. Gayle is the co-founder of WAvNA. In addition to her organizing efforts with WAvNA, Gayle has served on the Miami Beach Tennis Committee and is a current member of the City of Miami Beach LGBTQ Committee.
